An enjoyable afternoon read

I searched for books about rural Minnesota because I've read several that I very much enjoyed. This book joined that list. It was very interesting and also heartwarming. I love reading books that contain true antidotes about life in the US in years gone by. I find that life has changed for sure, but what made people happy back then still holds true today. It is the people in our lives that make the best memories, no matter how much or how little, one has. Reading of days gone by just reminds us all of how rich life is.
